Pastor Eliacib Marquez & Pastor Thomas Alvarez

Pastor Eliacib at Lakewood Nazarene Nuevo Pacto is enjoying good days.... We had an excellent review with the Leadership Team and spent a good portion of time on developing a Church Action plan.

There was a wonderful spirit at Pastor Eli's church and the people were very responsive as I preached on the Spirit of Pentecost...Several responded for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit!

In the afternoon Pastor Thomas at Westminster Iglesia had a wonderful service as well.

Pastor Thomas came to Colorado from Illinois and had a very successful work in Illinois and is seeing good progress here as well. He has been here now for 3 years and is working hard at digging out this work at Westminster and is doing a good job.

I have great appreciation for our pastors who are laying down their lives for the ministry of the gospel and these brothers are living examples of that statement.

We want to support both of these pastors in prayer as they labor for the harvest!

Easter:

Make it happen, don't just let it happen on April 4th!

Easter is the best time of the year for our churches to reach out and touch! Christian pollsters have found that there is a 72% greater likelihood that people will respond favorably to an invitation to attend an Easter service than any other time in the year!

Reasons appear to be varied why response is so high;

  1. Typically it's a friend or family member who extends the invite and the person feels obligated to go to the service because they are going to a dinner with the family after the service.
  2. They believe there will be something at church worthwhile to go to... i.e., music or drama or a quality service
  3. There is still a bit of memory in the culture as to obligation to attend something religious on Easter Sunday.
  4. The nature of the invitation capitalizes on the principles that already work... the principle of friends of relatives i.e., 70+ percent of people have a receptivity to friends or relatives.

The choice is "be passive or Aggressive" Churches that workto make Easter a great success tend to get a positive outcome!
