The Church needs capable, missional, Christlike leaders who seek to understand themselves, their flock, and their culture. So, how does our relationship with Christ inform and transform our leadership? This course explores the dynamic of leadership in the Kingdom and its relationship to the spiritual life of the minister in the context of Christian community. Conflicting expectations and often irreconcilable differences are unique challenges for the Christian leader in a local congregation, mission organization, Christian college, church governing board, or other community. What does it mean, then, to lead with the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16) in these situations?

This module will examine biblical and historically Christian models of servant leadership in light of Scripture, theological reflection and our current cultural context and seek to answer these questions for leaders seeking to serve, guide and shepherd with love, purpose and intention.
